It's My Life

I'm Bailey. I believe in magic. I think to many people have allowed the beauty of the written word to fade. I adore travelling, music and festivals. I like stories that have no ending. I sometimes pretend that my life is a movie. I love dusty photographs and listening to people tell me about their lives. I love photography and finishing other people's sentences. I love animals, starry nights and blowing bubbles in my chocolate milk. I want to see the northern lights at least once in my lifetime. I have a hard time expressing myself in ways other than writing. I am twenty years young and live in TEXAS and this is my life on paper.

this is better than any television show i have ever seen

When disabled people say they don’t want to be treated differently, we mean we don’t want to hear your voice go up 5 million octaves as you talk to us like we’re toddlers, or see your face contort into a big plastic smile when you see us.

We mean, treat us with the respect and dignity a human being has every right to.

We do not mean, ignore our disability and hold us to abled standards.

Abled people just don’t get that.
